Payak is a Tagalog term that means plain, basic, or uncomplicated in form, nature, or design. This describes our main goal which is to come up with the most simple yet very unique creations. We'd like to thank you for visiting our page and we sincerely appreciate your interest and support towards us and our upcoming products.

OUR BACKGROUND

We have been working on multiple researches to incorporate inexpensive, parallel ingredients into our favorite dishes not only for the sole purpose of extending but also to discover new ways of adding more nutritional value to our meals. Numerous trials were executed and thoroughly discussed to come up with our desired formula as we have to consider that our goal which is to put more essential nutrients into the food, is achieved without compromising the original flavor; while also making sure that the result is still very reasonably-priced.

PAYAK PESTO

This is our take on the traditional basil-based specialty. A generous mix of Walnuts and Cashews used (in replacement of Pine nuts), 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Parmesan Cheese is substituted with Queso de Bola (Filipino Edam Cheese), Garlic, Salt, and Freshly Ground Black Pepper.

TO PREPARE THE PESTO

  1. For every 120ml bottle, cook 400g pasta of your choice until al dente. Save half to 1 cup of the pasta water. Set both aside.

  2. Pour the bottled Pesto sauce into a pan and cook for 2 minutes or until slightly simmering.

  3. Add the pasta into the pan and gradually add pasta water while mixing continuously.

  4. Cook for 3 more minutes or until pasta reached your desired consistency. Enjoy!
